Financial Aid Renewals

Award Year (July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009)

The method you will use to renew your financial aid will depend on your individual situation. Please read the three categories below and select the appropriate option.

If you have any questions or are not sure which category applies to you, please contact the Columbus Technical College Office of Financial Aid at 706.649.1859.

1. You must renew the Federal Pell Grant Application (FAFSA) if:

  • you are an Alabama resident or
  • you are an out-of-state resident or
  • you do not qualify for HOPE Scholarship or HOPE Grant for a different reason.

To renew the Federal Pell Grant Application (FAFSA), go to www.fafsa.ed.gov.


2. You must renew the Federal Pell Grant Application (FAFSA) if:

  • you received the HOPE Scholarship or HOPE Grant between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008; AND
  • you received the Federal Pell Grant award between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008.

To renew the Federal Pell Grant Application (FAFSA), go to www.fafsa.ed.gov.


3. You must renew the HOPE Scholarship or HOPE Grant if:

  • you received the HOPE Scholarship or HOPE Grant between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008; AND
  • you did not receive the Federal Pell Grant award between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008.

To renew the HOPE Scholarship or HOPE Grant, you may submit the online HOPE Certification Statement or download and print an Adobe PDF Certification Statement to sign and fax to us at: 706.649.1457 or mail to us at: Financial Aid, Columbus Technical College, 928 Manchester Expressway, Columbus, GA 31904.
